Career

A rover, Craig Marriott faced stiff competition for a place in the powerful Glenelg line-up at various times in his career from the likes of Kym Hodgeman, Rex Voigt and Greg Bennett. Nevertheless he still managed to put together 78 senior games between 1971 and 1976, in which he booted 61 goals. Twentieth man in the Bays’ winning 1973 grand final team, where fresh on in the last quarter he threw the ball onto his boot resulting in the Cornes mark then goal that gave the Bays the lead. He also played in the losing combination a year later.
