A skilled District cricketer who played for the Glenelg "seahorses", Simon Angove found the balancing of football and cricket with their modern time demands a tricky journey. In the end he only managed 31 games over 6 seasons for the Bays.
He stayed involved with the club post-playing, both with the Past Players, and on the board of the club.
Simon is from a talented sporting family:
- Father - David - coached amateur football and played B Grade cricket and served the Glenelg District Cricket Club for 25 years as well as owning racehorses for many years;
