Career

Will Gould commenced his League season with the Bays as a physically mature 18 year old who showed he could perform at senior level as a crucial cog in Glenelg’s drought-breaking premiership.

Responsible for the Tigers’ kick-ins, Gould logged an impressive disposal efficiency of 90 per cent in his 15 Statewide Super League games. He also displayed his leadership as captain of the South Australia Under 18 team, playing a steadying role in defence en route to an All-Australian berth.

Drafted by Sydney at pick 26 in the 2019 AFL draft, Gould was expected to have an immediate impact having already played a season of Senior football. In the event he was the only draftee on their list not to play in a COVID-disturbed 2020 season.
