Had a bit of a play around with Chris Duthy page. I think it looks a lot better with the pic on the left, Bio in the centre, stats/etc box on left and text underneath. Main Page & Photo's

Hi Quentin,

You've done a massive job with the photo's so far. The main page is looking good too. What I thought would be good is if we give the site a name like Blueseum, or Demonwiki (Melbourne.

Great minds think alike, and apparently so do we. I know that the SL Wiki is not the most attractive name. In fact I would love to drop the name "wiki" altogether as it does not mean anything to a lot of people. Only problem I see with Tigers of Old is that we are also about Tigers of Now. I was going to discuss further today at the game, but just in brief - the original idea was to be the new "Entrance" to Snouts Louts rather than just seeing Thumby when you go to www.snoutlouts.org hence it said SNOUTS LOUTS as the main thing. We need to work out if we are using it for that, or just as a stand-alone wiki (so why have the Match Report and upcoming game then?). So much to think about ... my head hurts. Seasons

Hi Mr Ranga

Great stuff with the articles on 1921. Just a thought, as that theme will be continued on for all seasons, would it be more beneficial to have another area for them.

I can just see when in ten years time, we reach the 70's etc, and we have access to heaps and heaps of stuff, those reports etc will dominate the game scores etc.

Perhaps a section call "Seasons: In word"

and then have 1921, with all the articles, 1922 etc and so forth.

And then when we get pictures enabled start another one "Seasons: In Pictures" etc.

Yes I also thought along those lines when I was typing that info in. I have started looking at some old papers at the State Library and I can assure you that there is no way we will get a game-by-game record on here short of a work-for-the-dole project (joke).
So I am thinking that each season will probably get a summary of what happened and if we know of any significant events/games then we can summarise those. 1921 obviously would get a bit extra summary compared to some, it being the first League year. For individual matches we can use the system you have started with those 2006 match reports. One thing that bothers me with using a name like 06.05.2006 is that dates dont list very well in any summary page like the [[Category: Match Reports]]. If we want to change the format of the page names it would be best to do it now before we go too far.
Oh and I have a couple of match reports from 1921 to type up once I decipher the shocking quality print you get from microfische.

OK, I think I am willing to do the work for the dole thing LOL. What would be good would to have a season homepage similar to this [1] .Which is basically what we have now. Then when you click on a year you get [2]. From that you can then enter the match results and reports similar to how they have done it. You could then categorise it all back to the year in this case 1995. If you look at the page also there is a "backlink" function. Now that is good !

You can then have a separate "Articles" section with sub pages by the Year. Same for images (with probably more catogories)

We're a long way off, so it's nice to dream !!

I think we could slowly implement that. Debuts should be possible with the help of Ecky. Big Stories is pretty much what I said - any special stories/matches. I think any Finals match we should attempt to get a Match report for (State Library here comes the work-for-the-dole crew). Votes will far harder as I have not yet begun to look into what (if any) records we have of votes for Magarey and/or GFC B&F.

Nope, go to the Blueseum page and look at the top right of the screen, you'll see the "Backlink" drop down menu, next to the print function. Very Cool. I use it a bit. But it's something that is a ways off.

As for the menu at the bottom, that too is a must. I have done such in the Locker Room, so you can just go from Number 5 to say Number 42, without having to go back to the originating page.

Need a few more blokes in here contributing though !!
