Brodie Murdoch was a left-footed medium forward with terrific athleticism highlighted by his pace, agility and vertical leap. Strong overhead and has a terrific work ethic in games as a lead-up forward. A long penetrating kick and could also play well in defence.
He was drafted by St Kilda (AFL) at selection 40 of the 2012 AFL draft. He debuted for St Kilda vs Sydney Swans (in Christchurch NZ) on ANZAC Day 2013.
At the conclusion of the 2016 season, he was delisted by St Kilda having played 22 games across 4 seasons.
Since being delisted by St Kilda he has played with Port Melbourne (VFL) - winning a premiership in 2017 - and at Southport (NEAFL).
Brodie Murdoch is the son of former Norwood Football Club player Roger Murdoch, and brother of Jordan Murdoch.
