FIRST FLAG TO BAYS SECONDS

Glenelg won their first Seconds premiership when they briliantly outplayed North to win the grand final by 41 points at Adelaide today.
The Tigers led throughout and deserved their win.
Glenelg were minor premiers.
North, after a slow start, came back strongly in the second to get within six points of Glenelg at half-time.
They could have been in front, but for their inaccuracy at the goalfront.
Their effort ended there. Glenelg quickly regained control and swarmed all over the Roosters to have the game in their keeping long before the final siren.
It was in the last half that Glenelg's rucks lifted to get on top. Their half-forward line, particularly Newberry and Kevin Rowe, ran riot.
North had no answer to Cybulka at centre, who fired many Glenelg attacks. Accurate passing was a feature of its game.
Glenelg repeatedly burst forward with fast, open play-on football. North were left flatfooted.
LONG KICK
They had kept players in attack where big men, Bruce Long, Morony, and Kevin Rowe, bagged 10 goals between them.
Glenelg were quick to get going. After Newberry's early goal they added two more through Fitzgerald and Pattinson before North, in an isolated thrust, got their first from Anstey's long kick.
Cybulka was in top form for the Bays. Abley gave them rebound on the last line.
Anotehr went to Newberry, and then Cybulka's long kick found Morony who put it through for their fifth goal.
Into the second term North hit back for a goal to Taylor, followed soon after by one from rover Bamford, before Rowe got Glenelg's sixth.
Cahill, who had received a heavy knock in the first term, was replaced by Moyle.
North looked dangerous as they crept closer to Glenelg. Page and Anstey across half-forward, rover Bamford, and ruckman Taylor gave the Roosters plenty of drive.
FULL POINTS
At half-time Glenelg led by six points.
Getting the ball away more freely from centre, Glenelg broke clear again with goals to Rowe, Paech and Morony to be 17 points up.
North came back with two goals from Sheridan. But Glenelg maintained the pressure to get full points from Long and Pattinson to have them 24 points up at the last change.
Midway through the final term Rowe's magnificent screw-punt goal allowed Glenelg to run to a six-goal lead.
Although North hit back with majors from Taylor and Barr they could do no better.
Glenelg sensing victory never let up.
They added goals from Long (two) and Fitzgerald to get home by 41 points.
