Dylan Gamble was originally from the South East and is the brother of former Geelong and St Kilda player Ryan Gamble.

He began his SANFL career with Glenelg where he played six League games over 2 seasons.

After playing with PHOS Camden in 2015 the 27 year old Gamble joined Sturt a week before the end of the 2016 pre-season.

He played 15 Reserves games before making his League debut in the last minor round game of the season which turned out to be a draw against his old side Glenelg.

He kept his place in the side for the Qualifying Final against South Adelaide the following week and provided the Double Blues with an x-factor up forward, kicking 3 goals and being named in the best players.

With a fearless approach to the ball, the ability to take a screamer and his Ned Kelly beard Dylan gained cult figure status during the finals series which included him nearly taking the mark of the century in the 2nd Semi Final against the Eagles.

He went on to play in the Preliminary Final against Adelaide and then the Grand Final win over the Eagles becoming a Premiership player in just his 5th League game for the club, and only 11th League game overall.

Unfortunately Gamble was forced to move interstate for work purposes at the end of the 2016 season after a short, but eventful time at Sturt.
