Career
Chris Curran played 2010 in the Reserves as a Forward, however he won his debut for the League in 2011 after switching to a key Defender role. He developed into a key defender for the Bays, chiefly at Centre Half Back.
In 2018 he took over the Captaincy from Andrew Bradley.
Battling injuries which saw him playing limited games particularly in 2014 and 2016, he reached 100 games in season 2019. He also played for South Australia that year in their win over Western Australia. Indeed, Curran led the SANFL competition for marks in 2019, reading the ball very well across the half-back line and averaging more than 21 possessions. His season was capped by Captaining Glenelg's successful Grand Final side.
Although he was expected to take a break from SANFL in 2020 while undertaking a medical studies placement in the Riverland, he in fact managed to commute, and despite further injuries managed 6 games.
