Nickname: "Sir Lawrence"
Darrell Moss was described in the 1969 Grand Final Budget as "Rarely spectacular but is responsible for much strong body work at Centre half forward". Moss also contributed at Centre half back and filling in the ruck. Moss missed playing in that 1969 Grand Final side making room for the surprise inclusion of Richmond (VFL) player Royce Hart, although a shoulder injury was cited at the time. In 1973 he again missed the Grand Final - this time due to a cartilage injury.
Moss captained Glenelg's losing 1974 Reserves Grand Final side.
After retiring from Glenelg he went on to coaching South Gawler. His son Shane Moss also played at Glenelg.
