Biographical
Guernsey Number: 20 Richard Douglas, a first round (No 16) selection at the 2005 AFL draft, is from Broadford in country Victoria. He had an outstanding 2005 season, winning the TAC Coaches Award, representing Victoria Metro U18's and earning selection in the TAC Cup Team of the Year. He was allocated to Glenelg as part of the SANFL "mini draft" for AFL players recruited from inter-State. Douglas played various roles for Glenelg in seasons 2006 and 2007, mostly on ball and as a crumbing forward, before his "break through" year of 2008 with the Adelaide Crows. Since then he has chiefly played with the Crows, winning the 2010 Adelaide Best and Fairest award. ReferencesThis article is a stub. You can help the Wiki by expanding it. |
