Richard Burgan was a tall half-forward from McLaren Vale.
On his form in trial games at the start of 1935 it was said:
"followed with surprising dash for a man of his stature. Standing 6 ft. 4 in. in height, Burgan's mobility made him more than useful on the ground, while his marking in the crushes stamped him as a follower of unlimited possibilities."
In the event he only played two League games.
