Sam Shaw was Adelaide Crow's third round draft pick in the 2009 AFL draft, and subsequently picked by Glenelg in the SANFL mini-draft for AFL players recruited from outside SA.
Shaw was an athletic player, strong overhead and able to play a variety of positions well. HHe was primarily used by Adelaide and Glenelg as a defender.
