Noel Lafsky was described in a 1953 pre-season review thus: "Has played some fine games as half-forward flanker or centre winger, but consistency has not been his forte." Nonetheless in 1953 he found his football home in the South East where he won the 1953 Mail Medal with football club Hatherleigh.
