Career

Kevin Abley tends to be remembered mainly as a Fullback, where he played for South Australia against Tasmania in 1963 at the Adelaide Oval.

However Abley was quite versatile having kicked 96 goals in 176 games for Glenelg. Which confirms he was capable of doing a effective job in the forward lines, when and if required.

Abley played League football for 11 seasons at Glenelg from 1954 to 1964.

He coached Lyndoch in the Barossa League for 2 years (1965 & 1966) before returning to Glenelg to coach the Reserves side to their first Premiership in 1967.
