Peter Simmons was appointed Glenelg coach for season 2005 following the departure of David Noble.
Simmons was part of North Adelaide's 1987 premiership side, had coached Adelaide University (Amateurs) and West Adelaide junior grades to premiership success.
His appointment however was short-lived as he was sacked by Club Board after Round 18 due to poor form and player discontent.
