Kris Massie played a total of 131 AFL games with two clubs - Carlton and Adelaide. A top-10 draft pick with Carlton he was a serviceable utility player but failed to reach the potential seen at the time of his drafting. Traded to Adelaide at the end of the 2001 season Massie went on to become a valuable defender for his new club. When not required for AFL duties he played with Norwood in the SANFL and after finishing with the Crows he played the 2009 season with Norwood.
Massie coached Glenelg’s Under 18 side to the 2010 premiership and was appointed Reserves coach for 2011. He was appointed in a care-taker role as senior coach for the remainder of the 2011 season after Mark Mickan's contract as coach was terminated after Round 12 in 2011.
