Women's Season 2022

For the first time the SANFLW competition expanded to include a Development League (effectively a Reserves competition) which played alongside the League teams for the first seven Rounds. The League competition increased to twelve Rounds and the length of quarters increased from 17 minutes to 20 minutes. Due to the reduction in on-field playing numbers from 18 to 16 the SANFLW "anti-density law" was amended so that four players must be in one half of the field for all stoppages and kick-ins (previously five), including one player remaining inside the 50m arc (previously two).

In a season where clubs were often affected by Covid-pandemic protocols Glenelg was no exception. Nonetheless the team finished third after Home and Away but couldn't progress beyond their first Preliminary Final. Two juniors made the All Australian Under 18 team - Sarah Goodwin and Maddi Scholz.
