Temp fix for Templates for Players

Hi mate

The following code may help with doing any Player entries until I find someone that can code some templates for us. If this works properly you should be able to cut and paste this into the new entry then put the data in the appropriate spot.

{| width=45%; style="padding:0.2em; border:1px solid; background-color:#FFFF99; float:right; "
|-
! style="background:black; color:gold" |  Career Highlights
|-
|
*Glenelg [[2003]] – [[2010]]
** games
** goals
*

* Stats current to end of 2009
|}

If you have a picture then this code immediately after the Career Highlights table, and before the Bio data should be what you need (using correct file name of course):

Templates

You're going to hate me, but there is a secret weapon for making multiple changes that are all the same - Templates. But I need to work out how to do them.

Basically any page item that gets repeated in multiple pages can be accessed from a Template of that item. When you need to change it (eg colours) you can change all the pages by just changing the Template.

The Catch 22 is that I have not yet learnt how to do them.  :)

I suggest we could keep manual cosmetic changes to a minimum until we learn how to do Templates. But if you are happy to do them by hand that's fine too. Ranga 03:58, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

  • LOL. Should've let him finish all of them first Pudgey !! Dirko 04:18, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Premiership Table Colours

Hi Grant

I put some comments on the Talk page for 1921 about the colours you have been trying out. I appreciate they take a lot of effort but I think it may be a good idea to canvas other opinions before you go too far changing them, as not everyone will like the look (I put up my hand as one who thinks it is a bit too busy looking).
