FORMER GLENELG PLAYER DEAD
TEAM TO WEAR BLACK ARMBANDS
In their match against North Adelaide at Prospect to-day, members of the Glenelg League team will wear black armbands as a mark of respect for Mr. M. Thompson, a former player, who died at Glenelg on Friday morning.
Mr. Thompson played with Glenelg during 1927 and for three matches in 1923. At his death he was 24 years of age. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, of Somerton, and was edu- cated at the Glenelg public school. For nine years Mr. Thompson was employed in the brassworking trade by Mr. F. J. Wadham of Somerton, to whom he had been apprenticed. He was also actively interested in cricket, being a playing member of the Glenelg Colts Cricket Club.

The games quoted in this article do not match the years/games given in Pride of the Bay. One to research further at some stage.
