While it is clear that he must have been 35 years old at death, Wood titles his piece "1931. Tragedy.  Dead aged 29"  and also states in the text that Sexton died at age 29.  This error is repeated by Full Points Footy in their player profile.

Discrepancies: Age at death and games played

John Wood records Jack Sexton's date of birth as 27 Feb 1900. This is the same as recorded at stats.rleague.com based on VFL records. Sexton died in Oct 1935, having started that year as Captain-Coach of Norwood.

While the above he must have been 35 years old at death, Wood titles his piece "1931. Tragedy. Dead aged 29" and also states in the text that Sexton died at age 29. This is repeated by Full Points Footy in their player profile.

Wikipedia on the other hand is just plain Vic-centric and only summarises his Fitzroy games in the sidebar, and states that he played "101 SANFL games", when in fact this is the total of his SANFL and VFL career.
