Shaun McKernan is a tall forward/ruckman.  He transferred during 2013 season from South Adelaide to imperove his prospects of regaining his position with the Adelaide AFL side.

He was Adelaide’s second selection in the 2008 National Draft, taken at pick 28. Playing much of his first season for a very poor side in South Adelaide in the SANFL, he made his AFL debut in round 14 against Richmond, and was expected to play his second game against Fremantle the week after. However, his left arm was broken in competitive drills in the final training session of the week.
