Career

Described in Pride of the Bay as one of the lightest men to play in league ranks, Brian Beal won the club's best and fairest award playing on the wing in his first full year in the league side. He graduated through the Bays junior grades - winning the Tiger Medal in 1958. He played 9 league games in 1959, and was described as a top line player whose courage was never in doubt.
