Brenton Honor coached Glenelg in 2001 and 2002, taking the club to wooden spoons in both seasons.

Honor was a solid half back flanker in 120 League games with South Adelaide 1981 - 1989.

After injury brought a premature end to his playing career he coached Happy Valley (Southern Football League) and Goodwood Saints (Amateurs) to premierships, and was widely reported to show a flair for coaching.

In 1999 and 2000 Honor was the Reserves coach at Glenelg.
