Ben Edwards came from Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsular.  As a junior he came through the Woodville West Torrens system, but when they told him they would not have room for him in their Under 18's program he was happy to be approached by Glenelg.

Playing Under 18's and Reserves for Glenelg, his ambition was to be drafted to the AFL.  He played 2 League games for Glenelg in 2015.
